Flirtatious NVox Strikes Again

Mark and I, along with our friends Caryn and Jordan, attended the sold out Detroit concert of Dep Leppard and Journey last night. We had an absolute blast! We were seated (Mark and I) in Row 6 a few seats from the outermost aisle, but just far enough in that we could see the stage fully and not be blocked by any of the speakers. Jordan and Caryn were using my original tickets about 50 rows back, center, and were very happy with their seats as well as they afforded a great view of the whole stage.

Journey came on and they were very good. They played mostly songs I was familiar with. Their lead singer has throat problems, apparently, so he was replaced by another gentleman who I'd not heard of before, but who was very, very good, very energetic, and sounded remarkably like their regular singer. We were close enough to see all the silly faces the bass player made, of which there were quite a few. I was really impressed with the quality of their show.

When they left the stage, a few people left in the front rows between us and the stage, so I knew I'd be moving up before da Leps came on. As it turned out, when the lights went down I moved up to the second row and someone in the front row turned around, looked at me, and pulled me up into the front row with them, against the barrier at the far right side of the stage (Phil-side), the last available slot before my view would be blocked by speakers. She kept asking me if I was Joe's wife (Joe Elliott is the lead singer), which amused me highly. I've no idea where she got that idea. *giggle*

I was going to be good and not flirt with the lads, really I was. But I got suckered into it. ;D Shortly into the second song Sav (the bass player, and my honey) came over to stand in front of me at the extreme right of the stage. He squatted down to sit on his heels in front of me, looking straight into my eyes, and then grinned his sunshine smile and waggled his tongue at me lasciviously, still holding eye contact. I almost fell over! I reached up towards him, but couldn't reach him, and he shifted his left shoulder forward so that I could touch his arm. *dies* Then he got up and wandered away, the naughty boy. Everybody was patting me on the back. Heeee. I've no idea what he sees in me, but that's the second show I've been at where he's acted flirtatiously with me, as if he recognizes me. Not complaining! Then Phil came over to my corner of the stage and looked right at me, so taking a page from the concert last year, I blew him a kiss. He grinned and blew me one back. heee. I'm such a flirt. Later I managed to slap hands with both Phil and Joe at various times, and one more time Sav came back over to my corner, leaned on the speaker directly to my right, looked down at me and grinned, then wiggled his tongue some more. What that boy does to me, and he most likely knows it!

They played most of the songs I really wanted to hear and expected to have the opportunity to hear, given their relatively short set, and did them all brilliantly. It was a fantastic, high energy show, and great fun.

So... now I begin to plot for my flirting from the third row at the next show in Cleveland in September. *giggle* *hides*
